How can I access the 30 hours?

How can I access my 30 hours free education/childcare at Horsham Nursery School?

From September 2017 the Government have committed to providing 30 hours of free childcare for working parents. As a Maintained Nursery School our remit is to provide a quality educational environment for children, supported by qualified Teachers and experienced, qualified nursery staff. We are keen to support parents to access the 30 hours and we are committed to ensuring that during core hours the provision will be led by qualified teachers e.g. between 9am – 12noon and 1pm- 4pm. Families not eligible for the 30 hours will still be able to access their 15 free hours and pay for any additional sessions in line with our charging policy.

We have consulted with our community and have decided to offer the 30 hours in a very flexible way. The first 15 hours of the free entitlement will be offered in one of the following ways and these will be referred to as your core hours:

 Core Sessions

Option 1 - 5 x Mornings (9am-12noon)

Option 2 - 5 x Afternoons (1pm-4pm)

Option 3 - Monday and Tuesday all day (9am-4pm) & Weds morning (9am-12noon)

Option 4 - Wednesday afternoon (1pm–4pm) and Thursday and Friday all day (9am-4pm)

Parents will then be able to choose the additional hours they would like around these core hours, including breakfast (8-9am), Lunch (12–1pm), and tea (4-6pm). This will enable families to access provision from 8am – 6pm each day. Additional hours in excess of the 30 can be purchased and will be charged in line with our charging policy.

Extended sessions included in your free 30 hours will incur a charge for food for breakfast, lunch and tea. Please see our Charging Policy for further details

To check if you are eligible for the 30 hours and/or other benefits please visit https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk and use the calculator to get your eligibility code. You will need to bring this with you to enable you to access the 30 hours free.
